SNAP!

Yep, we went.

And yep, I made a cookie of it.

Because when I see a cute logo, it almost begs me to make a cookie of it.  (Branding by Lara)
And because we put a little sticker on the back and let these act as our "business cards."
This was a last minute decision as we didn't order REAL business cards.  Conference rookies!

But the SNAP peeps seemed to forgive our unconventional business card.
Mandi and Becca did a mini-freak-out, which I do enjoy...probably because I had just freaked out about meeting them.  They are so fun, and made the perfect greeters!

Yes, I was not afraid to tell the rock-star bloggers that I was a fan of theirs.  Do they get tired of hearing it?  I don't know.  But I figured, if they have influenced me, entertained me or inspired me with their blog, I was going to tell them!  I was happy to tell this to some of the fabulous ladies I met:  Ana, Elizabeth, Char, Amy, Stephanie, Jen, Tauni, Tam, Shelley, the Crafting Chicks, Destiny, Kami, Lindsey, Kendra, Jessica, Cheri, Kristen, the eighteen25 girls, Lorie, Kristen and Becky.

We also got aquatinted with lots of new friends whose blogs are a fresh and welcome discovery!  Yay!  New blog-love!  I'll be adding to my blog list soon!

So, it's pretty lame that I lugged around my huge camera all weekend and only took a few phone pics of the whole gig!  I finally got out my DSLR when we visited the tulip festival.  Thanksgiving point and Utah in general is just sooooo beautiful.  I love the mountains!

Our trip was crazy busy as I tried to squeeze in a little cookie segment on Studio 5 (to impress my kids and cross one off my bucket list), visited our brand new niece (no pictures- did I mention I was lame), went to my brother's graduation and other family stuff.

I was pretty pleased to take home this fancy bag of swag, a beautiful necklace from Amy Cornwell, and a whole new batch of inspiration pertaining to my creativity, my home, my blog, my relationships, my family, my job, and my priorities.

And a big thank-you to Kathryn for coming with me and doing most of the driving.  :)
It wouldn't have been fabulous without you!

  5. I loved your "business cards". I just shared them over at Dimpleprints.com too. I'm glad we got to meet and not make our signs together. Do you guys sell your cookies? I may need to order some from you sometime. :)

  9. Wow, what a busy weekend! I was wondering who was passing out the cookies at SNAP. It was the most coveted card there. I met one of you and got a regular card but you must have run out of cookies. So the real story is your Aunt Joan teaches my daughter in Primary. My daughter told her teachers that her mom went to SNAP that week and Joan said "my nieces went too." I thought she was kidding until she told me who her nieces were. What a small world. She raved about you. And I admit, you are pretty amazing! Wish I could have chatted with both of you more at SNAP.

    1. Oh darn, you probably met me because I was carrying the "regular" cards and Ashleigh had the "edible, darling, yummy" cards (cause she made them and all) :) That is a small world that you know Joan, she is seriously the best! I love your blog and you used my favorite Dr. Seuss quote for your SNAP post! Very fun! I am following you on FB :)

  10. DUUUUUUUUUDES. I have been meaning to get my butt over here and tell you your cookie business cards freaking ROCKED! I was super disappointed that I never tracked you down to get one. I just admired them when I saw people carrying them. They are so majorly spot on...oh my heck!!!! I think maybe that logo was meant to be a cookie from the beginning...right? What an amazing honor it is for me to have seen that logo in edible form. I think it's an item off my bucket list...that I didn't know was on my bucket list...but now it is...and crossed off. Bravo! I digitally SALUTE you!

    1. We about pulled our eyelashes out when we realized we hadn't even given a SNAP cookie to the designer of the darling logo! So sorry! Ashleigh is a cookie machine so we'll tell her to crank more out next time. Oh, and she never sleeps! :) We have been big fans of yours, thanks so much for all you did to put on a great conference and awesome logo!

    1. We did meet Becca! She's so cute we wanted to put her in our pockets :) It's a small world! I think you know my niece Shandi, too. I recognize your name, but I have been known to be completely looney. :) Thanks for the blog love!!!

    2. Kati- So crazy that you are related to Becca. Through the Morphy's? I'm trying to figure out the link. Are you related to Stephanie too? (somewhat simple, Becca's sister in law) I've been "blog friends" with her for a long time! What a small world! Anyway... thanks for the kind words. I love checking in with your blog and your cute family too! Your cakes are amazing! I wish you lived close because every time a friend asks me to do a cake, I say no and wish I had someone good to refer them to. I'm nowhere near your level! :) Take care!
