Bring on the eggs!

I'm really excited for all things Easter.
I just have to remember to skip the Easter candy aisle.
The Cadbury mini eggs scream my name for pete's sake.
I'm staying strong for now. Clean record. Promise. I haven't had any... yet.

I've always wanted an egg tree to make the house more festive.
I love the ones from Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, and even enjoy my simple version.

egg tree

I just grabbed some cheap stems from Michael's and a bag of glitter eggs from Target.
Easier, but not as fun as glittering the eggs (with Martha glitter) myself.
I tied a little loop of ribbon and hot glued it to the egg.

So lets bring on the pastels, the chicks, the bunnies, the flowers and the colored eggs.

Saying colored eggs just makes me think of- you know what- again!
If someone knows how to keep the Cadbury mini egg cravings to a minimum, let me know.

I'm linking up this week:

  1. Cadbury mini eggs . . . Is there anything better?! I don't buy candy any other time of year. And I stock up . . . Cuz my stockpile needs to last me a whole year. Maybe I wouldn't have a problem if they made Cadbury mini flags, pumpkins, trees, and hearts! Maybe I wouldn't feel the need to gorge myself on the world's most perfect candy while it briefly comes into season, if they offered versions of it for other holidays. I'm getting off topic. I love your Easter tree. :)

  2. no advice here i have already eaten 4 bags myself...

  3. I really do like the flowers instead of the plain branches...I never would have thought to do that. Great idea! Thanks for sharing. :)

  4. Gorgeous and festive without being over the top. I love it!
I also love those mini eggs. . . Cadbury is one of my fave bits about spring!

  5. This is so pretty! I love it!

  6. I love your tree and I love that you are a Cadbury mini-egg lover like me ...Since they are only available during the Easter season, my sweet husband buys a few extra little bags and hides them for a surprise later, when you can't buy them ... unfortunately, he often forgets and we find them at the oddest time of the year, which fortunately is just another wonderful surprise. Happy Easter and other mini-egg eating seasons.

  7. Beautiful! cheerful and springy! I hopped over from a "A Soft Place to Land" and am so happy that I did. Please accept my invitation to drop in at my place one day this week when you get a moment. until later...

  8. This is so pretty! Most egg trees are done on branches without buds or flowers. I like this so much better.

  9. Very cute! :)I love it! Good job. Hehe ;)

  10. I love this! So light and fresh!

  11. very cute. You just gave me an idea! Thanks!

  12. Adorable! I've been thinking to make one of these myself. Thanks for sharing your ideas.

  13. Your eggs came out perfect! I'm so jealous because mine were a bust. =( I was able to salvage one. Coming over from Blue Cricket Design, new follower!

  14. Oh how I love this idea!
We have a Friday Fun Find party (on Fridays, obviously)... if you're interested, we'd love it if you'd link up this week!

  15. Cute project..*great pics too!

The only way to truly resist Cadbury Mini Eggs is to start eating Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs, but then, only then, does the memory of the mini eggs fade into the distance.......... :)
